Chair FAQs

The debate continues... Most prefer the saddle seat and overall we would say that it has the most ergonomic benefit (see blog post). That said, some just don’t like it and prefer our custom seat – built with double density foam and unique shape to provide the best comfort.

The armrests are independently adjustable and can be set to whatever height required. They move freely within their range, but, as with anything new, there is an adjustment period. The chair must be upright before releasing the armrest or they may swing forward toward the patient.

We find that most dentists prefer the Orbital 5S for general dentistry, mainly due to the forward tilt feature. If you are looking for an extremely stable platform for microscope work, the Orbital S is best.

Orbital Chairs require an adjustment period. Therefore, it is best to buy the chair and commit to using it. If you find it just doesn’t work for you, you have 30 days to return it.

Much the same as when you started using loupes, there is an adjustment period. Many dentists practice at home for a while before using it in the office. Others just get right to it.

Our chairs are designed, procured and hand assembled in Canada.
